FAQ'S

What is Semi-Permanent Make up?

It is a process where advanced pigments are inserted into the dermal layer of the skin. After your second treatment this should last for several years. Clients are patch tested prior to the first procedure to see if they my have any allergic reaction to the pigment or anaesthetic. 99.9% of people do not have any reaction at all.

How long does a treatment take?

You will need to allow 2 hours for your first treatment. If you intend to have a "full face" (3 treatments together at the same time) then you should allow 3-4 hours in total.

How long does the treatment last?

Semi-Permanent Make-up should last for several years. Over that time the colour will fade and break down. It is suggested that you come back to us for a "top up" treatment every 12 to 18 months in order to keep it fresh and maintain the desired look.

Does the treatment hurt?

Every client is different. We recommend that the client uses a numbing cream before the treament to control pain tolerance. Clients generally say that having a treatment is similar to having their eyebrows plucked or their legs waxed. Once the treatment is complete there is no discomfort, however the treated area may have some minor swelling, redness or tenderness.

Will I be able to go out straight away while it is healing?

After a treatment, the area that has been treated will be darker and more intense at first. This will last for a few days until the area exfoliates and the true colour emerges. If anaesthetic is used you may swell slightly but this will go down usually by the end of the day. It is suggested that if you are having an eyeliner procedure that you bring a pair of dark glasses with you (you may look as if you have been crying), which may seem a  little inconvenient but the long term results are well worth it.

Do you have any After Care advice?

You will be given a comprehensive after care guide after the treatment, along with detailed verbal instructions.
